이름 하나는 이쁘게 잘 지었음. 도대체 이번 태풍은 무슨 진로가 한반도를 집어삼킬 태세인가. 기상청에서 일기예보가 참 친 잘해졌다. 네이버에만 봐도 시기 각각으로 태풍의 진로와 크기와 풍속까지 전달해 준다. 게다가 아직 지나가지도 않은 6호 태풍 '카눈'을 이어 일본을 지나고 있는 더 큰 세기로 7호 태풍 '란'이 후발 부대도 미리미리 알려주니 말이다.

문제는 이러한 위험을 알려줘도 피해를 입는 사람들은 속출한다. 대비를 안 해서라기 보다 그 위험이 너무 거대하기 때문이다. 우리가 생각한 위험은 언제나 우리의 예상을 뛰어넘을 때가 있는데 그것을 알아차린 뒤에는 늘 심각한 상처가 남을 뿐이다. 자연재해. 최선을 다했다면 그것을 누구의 탓으로 돌리랴.

내일의 위험을 누가 알려주나

사실 한 치 앞을 모르는 게 인생이고, 대비한다고 대비할 수 없는 순간들이 우리 앞에 있다. 안전하고 온전하게 살다가 가도 모자랄 판에 뭐하려고 주식이든 코인이든 파생이든 부동산이든 시작해서 맘고생, 몸 고생, 처자식 고생 시키는가.

내일 내가 산 주식이 하한가 절대로 안 맞는다고 누가 알려주기라도 하는가. 아무도 내 편은 없다. 이 주식시장은 정말 총성 없는 전쟁터고 늘 게임에서 지는 게 개미 투자자이다. 주식 그거 위험하고 하는데 왜 계속하는가. 일기예보처럼 이 위험 뒤에 더 큰 위험이 도사리고 있다고 누가 귀띔도 안 해줄 터인데, 홀로 무슨 무기를 가지고 주씩 판에서 헤엄치고 있는가 말이다.

이 뒤에 더 큰 게 온다는 가정

말 그대로 그렇게 가정하면서 주식투자를 해야 한다. 그래서 내가 산 가격에서 폭락이 올 수도 있고, 상폐될 수도 있고, 하한가 3방 연속 맞을 수도 있고, 거래 정지될 수도 있다. 정말로 그럴 수 있다고 각오하고 그 종목을 매수해야 한다.

 

 

그런 생각이 완전히 루틴처럼 머릿속에 돌아가야만 절대로 몰빵을 안 한다. 그리고 분할 매수하고, 분산투자를 하게 된다. 이게 억지로 그래야지 하면 절대로 하수의 수준을 넘지 못하고, 완전히 밥 먹듯이 자연스러워져야만 오래도록 시장에서 자급자족하며 살 수 있는 첫 단추를 끼우는 것이다.

아무도 안 알려 줄 것이다. 지금까지 주식하면서 누가 옆에서 데려다 놓고 성공 비법이라고 이야기해 준 적 없고, 그런 사람 있다면 그냥 수업료 먹으려고 하는 것이니 주의해야 할 것임.

일기예보처럼 알려주는 이는 바로 자기 마음속에 있다. 마음의 소리에 귀 기울이면 이 종목 매수하기 전에 이렇게 되뇌어 보는 것은 어떤가. 

 

' 내일 나의 계좌에 태풍 7호 '란'이 올 수도 있어 '

' 여기가 바닥 같지? '란'오면 쑥대밭이야'

 

몰빵 못할 것임.

Following Typhoon No. 6 "Kanun", there's Typhoon No. 7 "Ran".
Even if the weather is unpredictable, at least we have weather forecasts.
The naming of the typhoons is quite poetic. What path is this typhoon taking that seems to engulf the Korean peninsula?
The meteorological department has improved its weather forecasting. On Naver, they provide detailed information about the typhoon's path, size, and wind speed.
Moreover, even before Typhoon No. 6 "Kanun" has passed, they're already informing us about Typhoon No. 7 "Ran", which is currently passing through Japan with even greater intensity.
The problem is, even with these warnings, many people still suffer damages. Not because they're unprepared, but because the danger is so immense.
The risks we anticipate often exceed our expectations, and by the time we realize it, the damage is already done. Natural disasters. If we've done our best, we can't blame anyone.

Thought 2: The Uncertainties of Tomorrow

Who can predict the dangers of tomorrow?
Life is unpredictable. There are moments that catch us off guard no matter how prepared we are.
Why stress ourselves with stocks, cryptocurrencies, derivatives, or real estate, causing mental, physical, and familial strain?
Who can guarantee that the stocks I buy tomorrow won't plummet? No one is on my side. The stock market is a battlefield without gunfire, and retail investors often lose.
Why do people continue to invest in stocks despite knowing the risks? No one warns us about the looming dangers, yet we still dive into the stock market, hoping for the best.

Thought 3: Assume the Worst

When investing in stocks, always assume the worst.
The stock you buy might crash, get delisted, hit the lower circuit multiple times, or even get suspended.
You should be mentally prepared for these scenarios before buying any stock.
Only when this mindset becomes second nature, you'll avoid putting all your money into one stock. Instead, you'll diversify and buy in portions. This is the first step to becoming self-sufficient in the market.

 

Final Thought: Invest Like You're Checking the Weather Forecast

No one will guide you in stock investment. Throughout my investment journey, no one has ever shared a "success secret" with me. If someone claims to have one, they're probably trying to scam you.
The only guide you have is within you. Listen to your inner voice. Before buying a stock, remind yourself:
"A Typhoon No. 7 'Ran' might hit my account tomorrow."
"This might seem like the lowest point, but if 'Ran' comes, it'll be a complete mess."
You won't be able to invest everything at once.
