사건전말..

- 21일 오후 2시 7분쯤 서울 관악구 신림역 4번 출구 인근 상가 골목에서 조모(33)씨가 흉기를 휘둘러 20대 남성 1명을 살해하고 3명을 다치게 한 사건이 발생했습니다.
- 조씨는 과거 폭행 등 전과 3범이며, 소년부 송치 수사경력자료만 14건에 달하는 전력이 있습니다. 체포 당시 그는 \"세상 더 살기 싫다\"고 소리쳤습니다.
- 조씨는 상가 골목 초입에서 한 남성을 흉기로 수차례 찌른 뒤 골목 안쪽으로 이동하며 마주치는 행인을 상대로 약 10분간 흉기를 휘둘렀습니다. 대낮 번화가에서 '묻지마' 칼부림이 벌어지자 시민들은 가게 안으로 몸을 숨기는 등 공포에 떨었습니다.

At around 2:07 PM on the 21st, an incident occurred in an alley near Exit 4 of Sillim Station in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, where a 33-year-old man named Jo indiscriminately wielded a weapon, killing one man in his 20s and injuring three others.

Jo, who has three previous convictions including assault, has a record of being referred to the juvenile court 14 times. At the time of his arrest, he shouted, "I don't want to live in this world anymore."

Jo stabbed a man several times with a weapon at the entrance of the alley, then moved inside the alley, wielding a weapon indiscriminately at passers by for about 10 minutes. As the 'random' stabbing took place in the bustling streets in broad daylight, citizens were terrified, hiding inside stores.

 

 To prevent such incidents from happening again..

Install security cameras and emergency bells in areas near subway stations and alleyways of shops, and strengthen police patrols and inspections for crime prevention and rapid response.
